About Chelnesha

Chelnesha is a Restorative Justice Practitioner, Educator, and Facilitator with a background in K – Higher Education and nonprofit leadership. Chelnesha found Restorative Justice when she was working in K-12 education and looking for alternative ways to support her students and disrupt the school to prison pipeline. During Chelnesha’s time as a graduate student and Restorative Justice Ambassador at the University of San Diego, Restorative Justice and healing-centered care became her passion! Throughout her time working in education and as a student, she saw not only the need, but the impact that Restorative Justice in Education can have on students, educators, families, and communities.

Chelnesha envisions building communities where connection, accountability, and repair guide our responses to harm- transforming our homes, schools, neighborhoods, and legal systems into spaces of collaboration and healing.

Chelnesha holds a Bachelors of Arts in Law and Justice, a Master of Science in Legal Writing, and a Master of Arts in Restorative Justice Leadership & Facilitation. In her free time, Chelnesha enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and their cat and dog.
